Martin Thompson is an author, storyteller, and funeral director whose work explores humor, heart, and humanity from the world’s oldest calling.

Raised in a multigenerational funeral-service family, Martin has spent nearly five decades listening to stories told in moments of grief, reflection, and unexpected laughter. His writing ranges from off-the-wall fiction to deeply personal memoir, all rooted in the belief that stories help us connect, remember, and better understand one another.

His books include The Mulligan Chronicles—featuring the imaginative and often unbelievable voice of a talking dog—as well as Digger: Unearthing Life’s Stories, a reflective memoir drawn from a lifetime in funeral service.

Martin lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and is available for interviews, podcasts, speaking engagements, book discussions, and community events.
